NGTC Announces New Stovall Machine Products Foundation Scholarship

 

Clarkesville, GA — The North Georgia Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce that Stovall Machine Products has established a scholarship for the CNC and Tool and Die Programs at the college. The first scholarship will be awarded for spring semester 2017, and a student may receive up to $375 per semester to cover the cost of tuition, fees, required equipment or books.

Rebecca Stovall, Vice President of Stovall Machine Products, Inc., serves on the Engineering Technology Advisory Committee at the college along with her husband, Dwight Stovall.

Clarkesville, GA — North Georgia Technical College very proudly nominated Stovall Machine Products, Inc., for the honor of 2015 Manufacturer of the Year in the small business category.

Located in Lavonia, Dwight Stovall opened his business 16 years ago and employs a small, highly skilled cadre of full time and part time employees.  SMP is a full service machine shop with CNC, wire EDM gear cutting, and conventional machining equipment, with full service fabricating shop and mobile service. They service the automotive, textile, pharmaceutical and other surrounding industries.

The current shop has expanded by an additional 8,000 square foot allowing additional equipment and capacity.  SMP would like to acknowledge Harbin Lumber, Dawson Construction, Marchman Construction, Pro-Electric, Burgess Electrical, American Tree & Grading for all their support.
